The tulips and lilies in my front yard have started growing. That’s just about the only thing that’s truly convincing me it must be March. We’ve all seen piles of snow on the ground for so long that it’s hard to believe it isn’t still January. Or December. While we were driving around town, my daughter pointed out a house that still had their nativity scene up. I wouldn’t’ve even noticed. So because everything else is looking kind of gray and dead outside right now, I thought I’d rework some of my favorite flower photos (since I’ve been doing a lot of reworking this winter––see previous blog post).
I love tulips. I’m not a huge fan of pink in general, but I love pink tulips.
This tulip variety is called Gander’s Rhapsody.

I love the smell of lilac! My backyard neighbors had a lilac bush when I was growing up.
I’m not sure if flowering trees count as flowers, but since they’re a harbinger of warmer weather and sunshine, I’m including them.
And who doesn’t love calla lilies?
