I don’t know what YOU were doing Friday night of Spring Break, but I was hanging out with Marco and Amanda in Boise! I know Amanda’s cousins through Bible quizzing, and I photographed headshots for her father’s company (cue, “It’s a Small World After All,” am I right?!). She and Marco are getting married this summer, but Spring Break was just about the only time that they could get away for engagement photos: Marco is a music teacher! Wedding planning alone can be crazy, so I was honored that he and Amanda would spend their precious time off with me. We started at Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise before heading over the The Village at Meridian. One of their first dates was at the Village! Their joy is so evident that I nearly forgot how chilly it was outside! Here are some of my favorites!
I can always count on this willow tree to make things look a little more spring-y!
Marco and Amanda, as you can see, share a mutual love of video games (and the music, in particular), so we had to incorporate that into some of their photos!
The biggest laugh of the evening came when we were getting ready to leave this spot and Marco said we could “unplug the controllers”–they were just “plugged in” to my bag on the ground!
Our fictitious game got a little bit competitive!
Also, I’m so glad we got a goose in some of their photos! There were a LOT of geese in the park, which also means a lot of…um…watching where you step.
After stepping around goose “presents” at Albertson Park, we went to the Village to catch the last bit of light before the sun went down! It was cloudier than I’d initially hoped, but I liked the artificial lighting in their photos…especially with the fountains!
